Tier System.

Basic Tiers of Advancement

Tiers 1 - 4 cost 1 point
Tiers 5- 8 cost 2 points
Tiers 9 - 12 cost 3 points

Level 1: Apprenticeship: You are new to the skill or talent of your choice.
Level 2: Novice: You have a basic grasp of your skill but not enough to do anything         significant.
Level 3: Accepted: Able and trusted enough to be left unattended.
Level 4: Wanderer: Able to mildly use your skill without risk of harm.
Level 5: Bewilderer: Able to show off your abilities to others.
Level 6: Graduate: almost finished your training and can successfully demonstrate perfectly your abilities to others.
Level 7: Journeyman: You are competent enough to wow the general populace with your skill.
Level 8: Explorer: You are successful enough now to travel abroad and use your skills safely

Most of the general skills at this point will have to be taught by specialized teachers and likely, you will have to journey far to find someone with your skill to teach you further. In due time a list of appropriate teachers and locations of such will be posted so that you may go forth and continue to learn.

Tiers can reach a level up to 12 but please remember, it will take a lot of time and dedication IC to advance, so don't expect your character to learn in an IC month what would take in reality years to accomplish.

Level 9: Ranger: Only others more skillful then you can best your work.
Level 10: Wayfarer: Your skill is near perfection and you have nearly mastered it in all ways.
Level 11: Junior Instructor: You can do basic instruction to apprentices and to higher levels up to 10 but must be under the supervision of a Master teacher.
Level 12: Master Teacher: The highest of the craft. The only ones able to bring those in level 11 up to the Master level.
