Overview

Broken World is set in Post Tarmon Gaidon, the world has been broken, the
forces of the Dragon have lost and the Dragon himself has died in the battle
against the Dark One. What remains of those who defended the world against
the onslaught of Chaos are small smatterings of people, rebel groups just trying
to survive and perhaps rebuild a new life for themselves and those like them
while avoiding the eyes of the Dark One and his minions.
While detailed character creation information can be found in the New Member
section of the forums, we will still tantalize your rp'ing tastebuds by
explaining why the Broken World experience is different.
A character is not limited to a certain region based upon what you wish to
be, whether you aspire to channel, to learn swordplay, to discover the ability
to speak with wolves. The world is in chaos and your right in the middle
of it all. Advancement is based on activity and you can learn more about
this in the New member section as well. Fighters are not limited to
fighting, Channeling folk are not limited to that, it's all what you wish to
build your character into based on a tier system which you accumulate through
activity. So whether you are a freelance person, wandering from place to
place looking for work, a rebel leader trying to establish a base to fight the
darkness and oppression the world now faces, the choice is yours and you are
only limited by your own activity. You can join an existing group if you
wish or create one of your own following the simple guidelines. Groups are
allowed, if their setting permits, to erect their own towns and places of
habitation that can grow as time goes on as well. A group may start out
with a simple farm and grow itself into a city, however, those who go this route
should be warned, the agents of Chaos are always watchful and they should take
precautions against infiltration and outright decimation of their creation if
they do not step lightly.
This system is set so that even newcomers can aspire to roles of leadership
both IC and OOC by following the guidelines given to them. It also allows
for a more in depth character customization beyond the basics that are often
found in some role playing sites.
So, if the above has taken a hold of your interest, then by all means, follow
the forums link and read the new members section to find out more and let me be
the first to welcome you to Broken World!
